GENDER MINISTER MONITORS TRAINING OF GNHR ENUMERATORS IN UPPER EAST REGION

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Otiko Afisah Djaba has challenged enumerators of the Ghana National Household Registry (GNHR) in the Upper East Region to work to perfection in order to ensure a successful data collection in the region.
The Minister said this when she joined other officials of GNHR to monitor the training of enumerators at Tongo in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region. The training preceded the official data collection exercise in the region, which commences on 27th February, 2018.
The training was to equip the enumerators with all the necessary information, acquaint them with the processes, rules and regulations for an effective and successful data collection exercise.
Speaking to the enumerators at the training, Hon. Otiko Afisah Djaba entreated them to be fully committed to the task and produce a credible data that will help in reducing poverty.
The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection urged the enumerators to deliver their mandate devoid of partisan politics since poverty has no political colour.
The data collection exercise in Upper East Region forms part of the GHNR mandate of producing a single database of poor Households in Ghana for the implementation of social interventions targeted at the poor and vulnerable households across the nation.
